 RESPONSIBLE SOURCING CERTIFICATION:

Lionel Lemay is Director, Market Development - North America for the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC). CSC manages the global responsible sourcing certification system for the concrete sector, covering the entire value chain, including the supply chain with cement and aggregates, ready-mix and precast producers. The certification evaluates companies across four key areas: environmental stewardship (reducing CO2 emissions, resource efficiency, biodiversity, circular economy), social responsibility (health & safety, human rights), governance (business ethics, transparency, legal compliance), and economic resilience. By meeting these criteria, certified companies can demonstrate their commitment to responsible sourcing and contribute to more sustainable construction. CSC certification is recognized by green building rating systems like LEED and Envision.

 CLIMATE EARTH

Lionel Lemay of ConcreteNexus, is a partner with Climate Earth—the leading provider of EPD software for the concrete industry—to advance codes and standards advocacy and expand industry education. Lemay’s first initiative will be hosting The Future of Concrete, a new monthly webinar series sponsored by Climate Earth. The series will unpack the major market and regulatory shifts coming in 2026, including how these changes will influence mix designs, pricing strategies, and competitive bidding. Lemay will also assist Climate Earth in developing industry education and certifications centered around low-carbon concrete, life cycle assessment, environmental product declarations and using Climate Earth software.
